What is a Trustee anyhow?
Each Tennessee county has a Trustee.

In Shelby County, the Trustee is a Charter officer in charge of the County
treasury, and the Shelby County Treasury is the largest in the state.

The Trustee serves as the County's banker handling over $500 million in
investments and over $3 billion in transactions annually.

The Trustee is also responsible for property tax collections of over $800 million
annually.
